Hi! I’m Sofia James, a Brooklyn based creative specializing in marketing strategy and content creation for the music industry. She has experience working across label, publishing, and live music working directly with artists and songwriters. Experienced in photography, visual design, motion graphics, and videography, I seek to create cohesive social art direction for artists and music companies.

When not creating content, I can be found DJing (along with everyone else in Bushwick) or in a local mosh.

CHILE DESPERTó: Chile Despertó is a an archival and found footage documentary short exploring Chilean history of resistance from the Pinochet era to now. The film parallels the words of Salvador Allende's final address to the people of Chile with footage from protests from throughout Chilean history. Watch here.

SAVE OUR SHOWBOX: In Summer of 2018, developers announced the historic Showbox Theater in Downtown Seattle, WA would be demolished and replaced with a luxury high-rise. This short film follows the community-based efforts to save the Showbox. It explores the impact a rapidly-changing economy has on a city's history and raises questions of the place of arts and culture in a city. Watch here.
